Whats new at for 2025?

Its been a cold start with the weather this year, but not at Syrupp. We have raced into the game with the introduction of two new services:
Kerasilk Blowdry - a smoothing (not straightening), 'shape-shifter' that allows the wearer to manage their unruly, frizzy hair at home. There are some provisos though - it is not suitable for heavily highlighted hair and hair tinted with Elumen. 
To be sure of your hairs' suitability, we recommend a Free Consultation with either Cheryl, Viv or Helen, bookable by clicking on the 'Home Page' link.

The second service we can offer is a hair extension service that allows us to apply individual extensions to the front, crown or sides of the hair. With previous systems this has not been suitable, as the bonds were too visible. However, this new system allows anyone with hair loss/thinning - due to cancer treatment, medication, alopecia or menopause - to disguise this loss, with almost invisible bonding, therefore increasing their confidence. It is not an expensive treatment to have but it only last 4 - 9 weeks. 

This service is only available with Helen at the moment and again a Free Consultation is advised to discuss its' suitability.


More News.....Helen is away from 6th March-30th March.
She will, as always be working extra hours - Monday 17th and 24th Feb, Monday 3rd March plus two late nights Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th March. I am sure she will be as flexible as she normally is.
Her first day back is 31st March. 

Viv is back in the salon on Thursdays and Fridays 10 - 3pm. Viv is a lovely friendly stylist who has a lot of passion for hairdressing and loves fashion. She is keen to see new clients and has completed the training with Kerasilk.

First of all I would like to thank you all for your continued support of Syrupp. Did you know we have been in business for 17years! That is all thanks to you. :-) The Salon . As you may know, the salon has been going through some changes. A few months ago, we returned the front room to our landlord. This led some clients to assume we were closed or closing. I would like to assure you we are very much up and running. We have not lost any cutting stations and our services will always remain at the high standard you expect. However, we are still renovating, so please bear with us. I anticipate the end of the summer for the works to be complete. Bookings. Our working hours have become less regimented over the years, as the stylists have become self-employed. This has led to a more flexible working practise. This is positive for both client and stylist, giving more flexibility to any bookings and ensuring accuracy of services booked. With this change, we have become predominately an online booking salon and would prefer, if you can, that you book this way. This will allow you to manage bookings and cancel (as long as we have 48hrs notice) to avoid charges. To book please go to the home page . For other messages then 01480 811111 , is still the salon number. Trichology and My New Hair. I have recently qualified as a Trichologist and can offer consultations at the salon or privately in my studio. This includes any gender or age suffering from any hair or scalp issues. Part of the consultation looks at nutrition, reading any blood results you may have and also a microscopic look at what is going on with a Dermascope. I now also offer a private wig service, to anyone with short or long-term hair loss- including cancer sufferers. I use a company called Aderans which is based in Brighton and they supply fabulous quality, variety wigs and hair pieces. I can also modify, cut and style (if possible) to make the fitting bespoke and more like you! This service is available out of salon and out of hours in my private studio or at the salon. Due to increased rent and higher product costs, there will be a small increase in prices at the end of June. Please note: self-employed stylists set their own prices . Cancellations and no-shows. I am sorry but these may seem harsh words. We are a small business up against all the challenges that the current economic climate is throwing at us and indeed, to you too. Please read this next section kindly and appreciate the need for us to voice this. If you do not make any appointment that you have booked, be it online, in salon or directly with your stylist, the services has already cost us in monetary terms. We send a booking text to confirm your appointment as soon as it is booked (a reminder for you to pop it in your diary), we then also send you a text reminder, at least 48hrs before you are due into the salon. These texts are there for your convenience and ours-but they cost money to send. If you then do not show, without cancelling you cost the stylist her ability to earn a living wage. The salon also loses out as it has made that space available to you. We know life happens sometimes and we will always show you courtesy. I ncreasingly, we are seeing this happen to our stylists, so we have decided to ask clients (at the stylists discretion) to pay a deposit. If any booking is not cancelled or rescheduled before 48hrs notice you will be charged half the cost of the total service.
